Two of the best gifts I got

Last Saturday I got many gifts from aunt Anna and farmor, those two are the best ones. Thanks!

This is a song book from farmor and it contains one CD, which contains many very good Swedish children songs. Mamma also likes it, and learning from it everyday.

This is the quilt I got from aunt Anna. Its pink and soft, which is very suitable for a baby like me.

Inflammation in the ears (2)

Today is the 6th day that Olivia has been eating anti-biotic and I took her to vårdcentralen to do the follow up check. I must say that Olivia is so well behaved and cooperative when we fed her with the medicine even though she hates it! She began to shake her head when she saw the medicine but she still took all of them without crying.

We also noticed she does not scratch and pull the ears as often as before, which is a good sign.

1. The appointment is half past 3, and we of course arrived on time. And the doctor of course is late. I went in front and knocked on his door at 3:45pm. He opened the door, felt disturbed and asked me “are you the last patient today?” I said “we had an appointment at half past 3.”

2. We have to wait a bit more even though there is no patient in his room.

After we enter, he said “She is so cute, I almost want to eat her”. He tried to be friend with Olivia, talked to her and touch her hands and face, but it did not work out. Olivia started to cry even before he started with any inspection on the ear. He should know that he can not give so much attention to a 4 month old baby…

3. after the inspection, the doctor said the ear channels are not as swollen as before, so everything should be fine. Based on previous experience, I asked him if he is really sure. Then he said he needs to see the ear drum in order to be sure. I said “OK, do that”. Then he said he needs to have a slimmer device than the current one in order to do a good inspection. (He has some kind of medical device, looks like a needle, has light on the front) So he left his room to look for the slimmer kind, which is used for children.

After 5 mins he came back, empty handed, told me he can not find it.

Why can not he prepare this in advance?

4. I asked the doctor that I want to see an ear specialist to make sure everything is fine, and there is absolutely no problem with her hearing. Then he said he can do the job, but since he does not have the device and there is too much dirt in the ears, so he needs to give ear drip to dissolve the dirt. He told me the name of the medicine.

During this time, he has to answer his mobile phone two times, talking about where to eat pizza tonight.

5. I asked him if that is ok for a 4 month old. He is not sure!!!! So he called someone and then told me it is OK.

6. I went to Apotek and checked with the staff there. I was told usually Revaxor is not used for babies. Plus on the manuscript, it says if it is used for children, it should be used by doctor or nurse….And the staff in Apotek did remember me from last time and I also told them what happened this time, they just said they also feel this doctor is very wired.

I wonder why the tax money should be paid to this kind of doctor? He treats life as a joke!
