Olivia in China-From Sweden to China

This is the first time Olivia comes to China and it is also the first time I am going to fly with her. It is 8 hour and half’s flight, plus waiting time in the airports, it is going to be a long day for both of us. But I have quite much confidence in myself, I believe I know my baby the best!

It went very well in Arlanda, we are able to get baby stroller after we check-in luggage and I can use “kids line” in many places. It probably saved me 1 hour to use kids line when we pass security check, there are a huge line there. At the security check, I checked with them and it turns out baby milk is allowed to bring on the plane, I just need to show them.

She got attracted by the fox in the shopping area, so she got it!

On the flight, she slept for 5 hours on top of my legs but she woke up when food is served. She can smell it. I managed to eat with her sitting on one of the arm rest, a bit difficult. She managed to grab neighbor’s plate and throw it, food everywhere…She likes to play the small monitor and she watched cartoon but the neighbor’s monitor always looks more interesting than her own.

One of the baby has a cap on, and of course she gets crazy. She is yelling to tell the pilot that she needs to get the cap in order to continue to fly! Stewardess likes her and they want to help me to hold her, when I need to take out something from the bay but it is absolutely not OK for her, no one is allowed to touch her. I didn’t drink anything so I don’t need to go to the toilet. But later on when I change damper for her, I managed to use the toilet myself, it is not as difficult as I thought!

When we arrive in Beijing, I was told there is no stroller in the airport for borrow…..I must say it sucks a lot that I have to hold her in one hand and take the suitcase ( it is very small, a cabin luggage ) in another hand. We have to take the train from terminal 3 to terminal 2 to collect luggage. There is no seat in the train and a lot of people, the train drives like a roller coaster! I am challenge myself in every second.

One good thing: there are big queues in the passport control in Beijing airport, and one staff invites me to use the “diplomat channel” so I probably saved 20 minutes there. Appreciated! Finally we got all the luggage and get out to meet grandmother. We are home now!
